What is AS/NZS 3551 testing?
AS/NZS 3551 is the Australian and New Zealand standard for managing medical electrical equipment. It covers electrical safety and performance testing, and accreditation surveyors expect current test records for every item.
How often does medical equipment need to be tested?
Most medical electrical equipment is tested every 12 months, with some items tested more often depending on risk, use and manufacturer guidance. We set up a schedule that matches your equipment and accreditation dates.

We service Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia, plus New Zealand, from our base in Arundel on the Gold Coast.
Are you licensed for medical gas work?
Yes. Nova Biomedical holds a QBCC Mechanical services: medical gas licence in Queensland and tests medical gas systems to AS 2896.
Can you test all our sites on one schedule?
Yes. Our PPM contracts cover multi-site groups with one coordinated schedule and one consistent set of records.
